Amazing World of Fish and Reptiles

Explore the amazing world of reptiles, fish, frogs, & other animals. Students will learn about animals through writing, art, reading, & film.
Art Explorations
Grades: 1st-3rd -- Terms 1 & 2, 8:30-11:30 am

Students will learn about the most popular artists and their techniques. Students will be able to create their own artwork that resembles those of great artists.
Basketball Camp
Grades: 4th-5th -- Term 1 8:30-11:30 am, Term 2 12:00-3:00 pm
Grades: 6th-8th -- Terms 1 12:00-3:00 pm, Term 2 8:30-11:30 am
Learn and improve your game. Play on teams & compete in free throw, hot shot, & layup contests as well as Friday team tournaments. Boys & girls of all skill levels are welcome. Please note that basketball activities will take place on outside courts, with some classroom activities held indoors.
BEDAZZLING JEWELRY MAKING
Grades 6th - 8th Term 1 8:30 am - 11:30 am

Design and create stylish beaded jewelry in this fun and exciting DIY class where students will learn the basics of making jewelry from start to finish. Students will sort, choose and assemble their handmade jewelry from a wide array of colorful beads in many shapes, sizes, materials and unique patterns. They also will learn to use simple tools, a beading board, findings and stringing elements to form hoops, add beads and other embellishments to complete their bejeweled crafts—and accessorize!
Beyond the Book Report in the Digital Age

Work on new ways to express your thoughts, questions, and feelings about what you read. You will have an opportunity to get started on your summer reading assignment!
Chinese Language and Culture

Learn to communicate/speak in Mandarin and read basic Chinese characters while singing, counting, playing games, and doing art projects. Little or no prior knowledge of Chinese required.
CGI Math
Grades: 1st-3rd -- Terms 1 & 2, 12:00-3:00 pm
Students will solve mathematical problems using their own thinking and strategies. Story problems, math warm-ups and math games will be introduced, and students will share their strategies with the class and in small groups. Math tools to solve problems will be provided, and students will discuss the various ways to use these tools. CGI Math is Common Core aligned and is approved by the CCUSD Board of Education as a best practice.
Clown College
Grades: 4th-6th -- Term 1 8:30-11:30 am & Term 2 12:00-3:00 pm
This class will cover the basics of clowning, including skits, magic, juggling, props, balloons, make-up, costumes and general silliness. There will be a fun-filled performance on the last day of class for fellow SE4K student enjoyment.
Creative Arts & Crafts

Enjoy a variety of arts and crafts, which may include basket making, collages, crafts with recycled materials, painting and much more.
Extended Fun
