Adult Secondary Education

The Adult Secondary Education (ASE) program prepares students to earn a high school diploma and/or pass the high school equivalency test (HiSET). ASE students can complete "a-g" approved courses in a traditional classroom setting, through Individualized Instruction Lab (I.I. Lab) learning at their own pace in a classroom setting.

Upon completion of two assessments (CASAS and an Aztec locator), a counselor will consult with the student to devise an Individualized Student Plan (ISP) to review transcripts and previous educational background and provide short and long-term goal options for earning a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate. An emphasis is placed on supporting students in transitioning to their next goals of the workforce and postsecondary education. Classes in ASE operate in an open entry, open exit schedule.

The Adult Secondary Education (ASE) include:

High School Diploma (high school credit recovery and grade replacement)
HiSET Preparation (preparation for the HiSET brand equivalency test)
GED Preparation (preparation for the GED brand equivalency test)
Adult Basic Education (review of middle school level concepts)
