a message to our students graphic

Dear Culver City Adult School Community,

The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority at Culver City Adult School. Our school is more than a place of learning. It is a community where people from different backgrounds and cultures come together to learn, grow, and build better futures for themselves and their families.

Following reports of immigration enforcement activity in Culver City this weekend, I want to acknowledge the fear and uncertainty some members of our community may be experiencing. We recognize that these events can affect our students, staff, and families, especially those learning English or working toward U.S. citizenship.

Our commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environment remains unchanged. Culver City Unified School District has established policies and resources to help students and families understand their rights and find assistance. We will continue working with the district and sharing important updates from the City of Culver City.

We encourage students and families to use the following resources:

  • District resources:

    Visit CCUSD's

    Safe School Spaces

webpage for information about district policies, student rights, and support.

  • Know Your Rights:

    The

    City of Culver City

provides information about legal assistance, individual rights, and resources for families.

  • Community assistance:

Call the Los Angeles Raids and Rapid Response Network at (888) 624-4752 to report immigration enforcement activity and request assistance.

  • School support:

If you are concerned about attending classes or need help, please contact your instructor or our school office.

We understand that our students have responsibilities to their families, jobs, and communities. Our staff is here to listen, answer questions, and help you find available support.

We will continue to share reliable information and support our school community. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our school office at (310) 842-4300 or speak with your instructor.

Please take care of yourselves and one another. Your safety and education matter to us. You belong at Culver City Adult School, and we are here for you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Paul Karaiakoubian

Safe School Spaces (Espacios Escolares Seguros)

Seguiremos compartiendo información confiable y brindando apoyo a nuestra comunidad escolar.
