On September 25, 2024, the CCAS Academic Department hosted its first Literature Night at the Museum. Students and staff interacted creatively with a short story in a book club style activity, celebrating the great American writer, Kurt Vonnegut. CCAS was the first group to enjoy the beautiful new A-Frame Theater at the Glorya Kaufman Cultural Center. Teacher emcee, Danny Moynahan, invited participants to share text-to-self connections and original poetry as they reflected on the storyline. Teacher Dr. Marisol Santana and Teacher Aaron Mendelson acted out a scene from “Romeo and Juliet” that was referenced in Vonnegut’s short story. It was a memorable night for all.
