English as a Second Language (Summer 2023)
Registration is CLOSED
June 26, 2023 - July 27, 2023
Registration begins May 22 (continuing students), May 30 (new students)
1. Complete the registration form
2. An email request will be sent to you for you to make an appointment for the CASAS test (it can take up to 3 business days to receive the email). This email will also include classes that are currently FULL.
3. After completing the CASAS test, you will receive a score and ESL level
4. Visit the office staff to register for class
Attendance: Students may only be absent 4 times for the entire summer session.
Course Descriptions
English as a Second Language/Family Success Initiative (ESL/FSI) - This is an English class geared towards building language skills through exploration of topics that are relevant to CCUSD parents. Some of the modules include Digital Literacy, Family Health and Wellness and Employability and U.S. workplace culture.
MTWTh 8:30 am - 11:30 am (ESL 1-3)
Soft skills for Personal Success - This is an English conversation and pronunciation course where students learn job skills and keeping and succeeding in a job.

Section 2 TTh 8:30 am - 11:30 am (ESL 4-6) CLASS IS FULL (closed waiting list)
Conversation 1 - This is an English conversation class.
MTWTh 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm (ESL 1-2) CLASS IS FULL (closed waiting list)
English Intermediate/Learning to Converse - This is an English conversation class.
MTWTh 8:30 am - 11:30 am (ESL 3-6) CLASS IS FULL (closed waiting list)
